Natural Appearance
Selected stone chippings create a finish that sits comfortably with rural, traditional and modern properties.
A traditional stone finish with a hard-wearing surface underneath. Professionally prepared and installed for homes, entrances and larger residential properties throughout County Wexford.
Chip & tar—also known as tar and chip or surface dressing—uses a bituminous binder and selected stone chippings to create a textured, natural-looking finish. It is particularly well suited to long entrances, country homes, larger driveways and properties where a softer appearance than plain tarmac is preferred.
Good results begin below the finished surface. We assess the existing driveway, levels, drainage, edges and intended traffic before recommending the preparation required.

For the right site, chip & tar combines a traditional aggregate appearance with a durable bonded surface.
Selected stone chippings create a finish that sits comfortably with rural, traditional and modern properties.
Correct preparation and installation provide a practical surface for normal residential vehicle traffic.
A strong option for long entrances and substantial driveway areas where appearance and practicality both matter.
The exposed stone finish provides a naturally textured surface rather than a smooth, uniform appearance.
Every driveway is different. The specification depends on the existing ground, drainage, levels, edges and expected use.
We inspect the existing area, identify preparation requirements and establish suitable levels and drainage.
Where required, the base is repaired or prepared and edges are formed to help contain and define the new surface.
Bituminous binder is applied before selected stone chippings are distributed evenly across the prepared surface.
The aggregate is rolled into the binder and the completed area is checked for an even, consistent finish.
